What is Awaken?
AWAKEN is a unique ministry venue where we believe we can discover truth, restore hope and learn to live free!!!
What happens at Awaken?
There are many aspects to AWAKEN, so here is a quick guide so that you know what to expect when you join us on Thursday nights…
7 p.m. live praise and worship, followed by a large-group time of instruction and encouragement.
8-9 p.m. break into open & closed small groups for the rest of the evening.
Is there childcare?
Childcare is available during Awaken for infants through 6th grade.
What was that part about small groups?
While everyone participates together during the first part, we all break out into small groups for the second part. You can choose between our open or closed small groups:
open small groups (no commitment, come and go as you please)
open discussion: discusses the topic from the evening’s large-group time (separate men’s and women’s groups).
substance abuse recovery: this open step-study is for people struggling with chemical dependencies and utilizes the Celebrate Recovery® 12-Step curriculum (separate men’s and women’s groups).
bridges: group for families of children with special needs. Uses the large-group time topics as well as other resources to address issues related to caring for a child with special needs (meets 2nd & 4th Thursdays).
closed short-term small groups (committed group, no registrations after 2nd week)
There are always a number of these closed groups running. They address a wide variety of topics including financial health, sexual integrity, as well as healing for a variety of issues. Included in these closed groups are our Soul Revolution groups that dig deep into what it means to live every moment of every day connected with our amazing God.
Whenever we are registering for new closed short-term small groups there will be an insert with details in this brochure.
