Bridges

Provides families of children with special needs the friendship and emotional support of other families while also providing them the opportunities to learn about various medical, educational and recreational resources.
Families face many challenges when raising a child with special needs, regardless of the type of disability. We believe that in order for our children to thrive both physically and emotionally, parents need all the support they can get. Through this support, parents become effective advocates and facilitators of their child's treatment.
We as parents have a common bond even though our children's needs or labels may be different, sharing much of the same stresses, griefs, and joys. We all deal with insurances, getting our child's needs met, doctor and therapy appointments, and missed milestones.
Bridges provides classroom experiences for children with special needs on Sunday mornings as part of our Children’s Ministry. Our Bridges ministry also provides periodic meetings for families to share information as well as support and encourage each other.
