It's hard to miss the fact that doing church in the modern world requires substantial technical infrastructure. Beyond the obvious microphones, speakers, and video screens lies a vast array of cables, wireless connections, and sensitive electronics that help bring each Sunday service and special event to life. Tal Tomko is our quintessential behind-the-scenes tech whiz in charge of keeping all that humming. He brings a wealth of sound and lighting experience to his role, having run all that and more for numerous professional bands and outfits in the Detroit area and beyond. Tal’s responsibilities include oversight of our sound, video, livestream and lighting operations, as well as recruiting and developing our volunteer teams that support those areas. He is married to fellow Rockpointer Alexandria or "Alex" as she's better known. Tal appreciates a sweet ride and has been known to grill up a mean steak.
